Project is a go!!!

Theo and I

 We received our project funds the first week of January and we quickly began planning the final logistics of implementing the Clean Drinking Water project. We were able to begin scheduling purchasing, pick ups and delivery dates. My village also did a financial contribution we collected the money from the village last week. The village was thrilled to hear the money had been raised and they were anxious to do their part to help the process.

My village counterpart, Theo, and I traveled to the capitol Paramaribo on Monday to begin purchasing all the supplies. After two days of shopping and one day of loading the truck, we are ready to take all the supplies to the village!

Tomorrow morning we will leave the city very early and get to the village where we meet the boats at around 8am. From there we will begin filling the boats with all the supplies. It should take 2 boats a total of 5 trips to deliver all the supplies to the village. It's going to be a long day!

I will have an update on the project for everyone next week!

I am very excited to be able to implement this project because I know that is a great cause. Access to clean drinking water is incredibly important.
